database are a little on the odd side, coming from the likes of Monty Python,
Steven Wright, and "Famous Car Whines". Keyword searching is available.

is a poem in Hypertext by a widely published poet. The poetry is highly
varied, with segments on love, marriage, children, and other matters, along
with segments on computing and how it changes our lives. You can erase all or
any bookmarks whenever you wish. Title, Help, and other screens are
attractive and readable, both in color and monochrome. The author also
employs artistic design in the form of the layout of the words and characters
on the screen.

   uses the speaker of your PC to "say" the first couple of paragraphs of the
Declaration of Independence, using Andy McGuire's SPEECH.COM and SAY.COM.  The
file SAY2.BAT is called by SAY-1776.BAT.  Neither SPEECH, SAY nor SAY2 should
be run by themselves.  They are all called by typing SAY-1776.  The quality of
the speech depends on your system, which needs to be running at close to
standard PC speed for the speech to be understood at all.

Although the premise of this book-on-disk is rather far-fetched, the information
seems to be based on authentic scientific discoveries and a well-meaning
philosophy. We found it impossible not to laugh at some of the story, but large
portions of the text are extremely interesting. A hard disk is required.


Hitchhikers Guide to Science Fiction

fiction stories, each of which has won a Hugo or Nebula. No plots are
revealed, only descriptions of elements of the stories, such as people
